Manual Compatibility Check

iOS (iPhone/iPad)

  • • Go to Settings > General > About.
  • • Scroll down to "Available SIM" (iOS 15+) or "Digital SIM".
  • • If there is an EID number listed, your device is eSIM ready.
  • • Also check "Network Provider Lock" — it must say "No SIM restrictions".

Android (Samsung)

  • • Go to Settings > Connections > SIM Manager.
  • • Tap "Add eSIM". If this option exists, your phone supports it.
  • • Alternatively, dial *#06# and look for an EID barcode.

Google Pixel

  • • Go to Settings > Network & internet.
  • • Tap the "+" sign next to "SIMs".
  • • If it asks "Download a SIM instead?", your device is compatible.

Expanded Regional Restrictions & Caveats

Apple iPhone Restrictions:

  • • Mainland China: Models are manufactured with two physical slots and zero eSIM hardware.
  • • Hong Kong & Macau: Only the iPhone 13 mini, 12 mini, SE (2020/2022), and XS support eSIM. All other HK/Macau models are physical-only.
  • • USA Models: Since iPhone 14, US models are eSIM-only (no physical slot).

Samsung & Android Restrictions:

  • • Samsung "FE" Models: Only the S23 FE and newer support eSIM. S20 FE and S21 FE do not.
  • • South Korea: Most older Samsung models (pre-2022) sold in Korea do not support eSIM despite being the same model name.
  • • Carrier Locked: Devices purchased via Verizon, AT&T, or T-Mobile on payment plans are often locked and will reject 3rd-party eSIMs.
