How to Activate an eSIM on iPhone

Installing a travel eSIM on your Apple iPhone takes less than two minutes. Follow this practical step-by-step guide to get connected before your trip.

Prerequisites Before Installation

• An eSIM-compatible iPhone (iPhone XS, XR, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16 series).
• An active Wi-Fi or cellular internet connection for downloading the profile.
• Your ZunoSim QR code (sent to your email after order completion).

Step-by-Step Setup Guide

1. Open Mobile Settings: Go to Settings > Cellular (or Mobile Data) on your iPhone.
2. Add eSIM: Tap Add eSIM (or Add Cellular Plan).
3. Use QR Code: Select Use QR Code and point your iPhone camera at your ZunoSim QR code.
4. Label Your Line: Label the new plan as ZunoSim Travel Data so you can easily distinguish it from your Primary line.
5. Set Default Line Settings:
   • Default Voice Line: Keep as Primary.
   • iMessage & FaceTime: Keep as Primary.
   • Cellular Data: Select ZunoSim Travel Data (turn off "Allow Cellular Data Switching" to avoid home roaming fees).
